Senior Service Technician

Job Summary

The Sr. Lead Service Technician role is responsible for the development and maintenance of dynamic customer and supplier relationships, while providing leadership and expertise to the service team while working alongside them supporting our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring the progress of current Jobs, and ensuring the highest level of customer service, workmanship and the company’s objectives are met.

  • Set an example by demonstrating leadership and mentoring for the service team Techs.

  • Maintaining a safety mindset at all times while meeting all safety requirements.

  • Assist with resolving service problems and improving service methods to increase the productivity and level of customer service.

  • Providing car wash equipment service to our car wash customers

  • Resolving equipment and PLC/Controller problems and improving service methods to increase the productivity and level of customer service.

  • Assisting with maintaining our wash chemical and equipment parts inventories in our warehouse

Requirements:

  1. A minimum of 5 years service experience in the same or similar role of installation and repair of industrial equipment

  2. College diploma and/or certified skilled tradesperson specifically for industrial applications.  This may include the HVAC, millwright, electrician or mechanical trades.

  3. Proven exceptional leadership, communication, and customer service skills.

  4. Computer literacy and good organizational skills.

  5. Strong problem-solving skills.

  6. The ability to work under pressure and handle stress.

  7. Ability to read & understand equipment breakdowns & drawings.

  8. Required to travel on a regular basis throughout southern, eastern and central Ontario with some overnight travel required.  Overnight travel on installations could be 4-5 nights (Monday to Friday) as required. Overnight travel could be 1-2 nights on some service work as required.

  9. The ability to provide leadership to the junior technicians in the field

Job Details

  • Permanent, Full Time Position

  • Hours – Monday to Friday with some weekend work

  • Salary will be commensurate with experience

  • Starting Date – As soon as possible

  • Location – Office and warehouse home base in Barrie, Ontario with travel to customer and supplier sites throughout Central, Eastern and Southern Ontario
