Industrial Millwright

Job Summary

The Industrial Millwright role is responsible for installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing car wash equipment for our client car wash operators.     This position requires the necessary skills and experience to meet our customers’ equipment needs safely and efficiently along with an understanding of up-to-date technology to address equipment and project challenges.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Performs route cause analysis for troubleshooting of customer equipment breakdowns.

  • Performs corrective and critical mechanical repairs.

  • Performs preventive maintenance inspections and repairs.

  • Assembles and installs new equipment and makes modifications to existing equipment.

  • Troubleshoots electrical, VFD, PLC, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment issues.

  • Follows all safety rules, guidelines and uses appropriate PPE.

  • Aligns, fits, or assembles component parts using hand & power tools.

  • Maintains inventory of spare parts.

  • Maintains repair & service reports.

  • Always demonstrates a professional and courteous manner.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid Industrial Millwright ticket.

  • Must have a minimum of three years’ experience as an Industrial Millwright.

  • Must be proficient at reading blueprints and following schematics and procedures.

  • Must have detailed knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, equipment, and troubleshooting techniques and steps.

  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting industrial equipment that is controlled by a PLC

  • Possesses a valid “G” class license with the province of Ontario and a clean driving record.

  • Must be able to learn, detect, and troubleshoot abnormalities and malfunctions in equipment.

  • Must be able to repair and build machines or components to prescribed tolerances.

  • Has strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to read, write and fluently speak English.

  • Has excellent computer skills.

  • A strong commitment to health and safety always.

Job Details

  • Permanent, Full Time Position

  • Hours – Monday to Friday with some weekend work

  • Salary - Commensurate with experience

  • Starting Date – As soon as possible

  • Location – Office and warehouse home base in Barrie, Ontario with travel to customer and supplier sites throughout Central, Eastern and Southern Ontario

  • Some overnight travel
